Summary:
The Data Management Analyst for Language Equality and Aquisition for Deaf Kids (LEAD-K or PA 256) will play a critical role in supporting the data collection and reporting requirements of PA 256. This position involves collaboration with the Advisory Committee and Early Hearing Detection and Intervention programs to ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting related to language developmental milestones for Deaf children. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing systems to collect and analyze data, preparing annual reports, and working with various partners to provide necessary guidance and materials. The position is grant-funded and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the language acquisition and development outcomes for Deaf children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interprets the data collection and reporting requirements of PA 256 and recommends appropriate solutions and approaches.
  • Collaborates with the Advisory Committee and Early Hearing Detection and Intervention regarding data requirements of PA 256.
  • Establishes or assists with the establishment of a system to collect data as required by PA 256, including language developmental milestones and assessment tools/data.
  • Collects, analyzes, and maintains appropriate data to meet requirements of PA 256.
  • Proposes, develops, and prepares appropriate materials and instructions for invested partners related to the data collection system.
  • Develops and produces the annual report as required by PA 256; initial report due no later than July 1, 2026, and by July 1 each year thereafter.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Contract Duration: October 1, 2024 – September 30, 2025

Compensation: $48 per hour, maximum of 20 hours per week, not to exceed a total of $50,000

Location: This is primarily a remote position, with occasionally required, in-person meeting attendance in Lansing and other areas of Michigan as needed.

Funding Source: This is a contracted position, grant funded by Language Equality and Acquisition for Deaf Kids (LEAD-K).
